lørdag 24. november 2001 22:51 I was coming home on the number seventeen trikk (tram-car) last night , heading toward Bislet, on Trondheimsveien approaching Hausmannsgt, around 19:20 and was, among several passengers, distressed to witness a lady with a well behaved dog being treated rudely by the ticket police. I wish to know more about how the ticket police are trained, and hired. The one I am complaining about (but also the other passengers kept looking back of me toward that (forward) end of the wagon (#152) so maybe there was more distressing) said to her brusquely, “Fort” , when she was looking for her card. Such conduct by transit ticket police is intolerable. What I would have done myself if so addressed would likely have involved the police. My complaint is to the management which obviously does not train or hire properly. I am sending this letter now and will be following this matter up with a view to drastically improving your effectiveness in this regard. I mention specifically, the question, how much time is one permitted before being forced to leave the trikk and go into the waiting wagon? How much time is one allowed generally, to find one´s ticket etc? Are we passengers to be at the mercy of ill-trained and poorly selected police?
