TRASH

IT WAS A QUIET time at the Trash. Everyone wants to know how to live well. I will tell you all what I have learned that has made me the third great philosopher of the twentieth century. That way you all can join me in running the next phase of life as we evolve in our future togethr. The basic first step is to take possession. Everything is ours and is our personal Responsibility togethr. Public transportation is ours. The jungles are ours. But we and our include past and future: our ancesters and our descendants. And we are theirs. We are all in Relationship. The name of my philosophy is Relationship. All life is essentially abstract and is a function of Relationship. I will not attempt to prove my theories, but instead will apply them, and you all can see for yourselves how you like them.

270601 o518 A crude example: People watching TV; they do not consider that it is there own TV---they have a passive attitude (by people I do not mean everyone without exception). I use the capacity to record shows, to watch what I decide, cutting ads, speeding-up movies; keeping some stuff for archive, and/or for sharing with other people. I am seriously interested in selection of what I like. I surf the channels and quickly leave stuff I dislike. But I have the advantage of living alone: I do not recommend this for the purpose of controlling TV (or other media)(or the listening spcae in the home), but if you share a space with another or others, I suggest that you all explore this matter: learn to accept that living together involves us in certain definite problems of accomodation---be aware, so as to know that you need to give thought to a situation, instead of brushing it under the rug.

People should accept that however wonderful it is to live together, sacrifices are inevitably involved, and we need compassion for each other and certainly for oneself. Do not lose sight of the basic territoriality of everyday life. Have patience. But do not deny the difficulty. I hope you can use this hyer discussion to lead to your own cooperation consciously and intelligently.

140701 02:24 My dear friend invited me to her summer hut for a couple of days. This poses a problem of great subtle complexity. Actually I hate huts. But to share the experience with her would enhance our relationship. Now it turns out that the place is infested with the sort of ticks that carry Lyme disease and maybe TBE. So she and my daughter and some other natives say I should not be a sissy, and simply go and be careful. But I do not want to. What should I do?

140801 03:23 Coincidentally, while looking up something in the dictionary, I happened to notice the name “Lister” (the great medical scientist who promoted (after Semelweiss tragically failed to ) sanitary hospitals); and he has the title: “First Baron Lister of Lyme Regis” (Lyme disease named after the town Lyme, Connecticut, USA).

061001 1936 I do not understand why when someone is banned from a bar, he/she is simply sent away, without being identified and e g photographed, etc --- otherwise the bar etc turns into a sitting duck for anonymous hunters. But, again, the pulic does not want to know reality, so the police must not be included, and of course, the police have orders to be lazy so as to save money. Crime expands to fill the area of opportunity, which in turn is described by the relative absence of prevention.
