WAS: WOLFGANG AMADEUS SCHOPENHAUER
( A SAGA OF THE WEST)

ELF NEUSCHWANSTEIN
THIS IS PART TWO, WHICH IS A CONTINUATION OF REPORTS STARTED AND SUSPENDED IN THE YEAR l971 (WHICH IS NOW CALLED, PART ONE).
There was the time Coffee met Wolfgang in the streets of a town where people were strolling unaware that later there would be made movies pretending to be them. But Wolfgang and Coffee knew. They even knew there would be radio and television, even tho this meeting occured in 1869.
Coffee and Wolfgang descended a stairway to their underground bistro and enjoyed a public reading of a tale by Edgar Poe (they would not call him Edgar Allan Poe). They sipped tea, and today it was the specially imported Tibetan they got thru their mysterious contacts in the hidden regions of Asia. They did not however insert any sort of butter.
The Poe work was not of course the article about the pretended automaton chess-player; but Coffee and Wolfgang afterward turned to a topic they often reverted to, namely, What was actually Poe´s concept of “machine”? For Poe to emphasize that no machine could be made which could play chess, necessarily involved the premise that a machine be defined as a device which could not play chess. But usually people were not precise in applying the word “machine”. Any device that did some task was called a machine. But could there not be made some sort of device that indeed could play chess?---but would it properly be called “machine”?
The premature death of Poe left the world without the possibility of his considering this together with Wolfgang and Wolfgang´s associates; so, as in regard to so many other considerations involving the creative work of people already dead, it was necessary to imagine conversations and develop ideas in one´s own imagination.
“What is the human mind?” said Wolfgang to Coffee, “And if a person could live a thousand years, and sit alone and think, what would be the result?”
She answered “You mean a great genius, of course”.
280601 1934 He offered, “People in mental-hospitals should have, say, tape-recorders, so they can talk to them and have their thoughts remembered, instead of depending on the folks who happen to be there, who, of course would naturally tend to be nuts”.
But she reminded him that tape-recorders had not been invented yet; (they were both aware that by the time any such change in health-care policy might occur, a minor detail like that would have been dealt with).
090701 19:33 Coffee suggested that the true function of the Vatican was to protect folks from the manifest evil which was the Bible, old and new testaments: that they were so full of absurd contradictions that if the common people got hold of it they would perpetrate horrors. In monotheism, heresy reflects the impossibility of monotheism itself. And Coffee further suggested that many elite a thousand years ago etc, knew the whole notion of jehova was nonsensicle, and went along with a conspiracy against the c ommon people, including the divine right of kings--- with Vatican like Madison Avenue.
120701 18:49 Wolfgang emphasized that the apprehensions of such Cardinal types were silly, but not entirely unjustified: it was inevitable that heresy win in its multiplicity, but indeed much horrible harm came about from the common people actually reading the bible, e g, witch-hunting --- but by trying to keep the cork in the bottle, especially by its own horrible atrocities, it invited eventual backlash as manifest in the pseudo heathenism of Nazism.
Coffee grimaced at the folly of monism.
140701 02:29 They changed the subject mutually by sipping tea. Coffee was carrying a small Theodora Bear doll, and now took it out of her carrybag and sat it on the table and talked to it.
150801 21:51 Coffee remembered reading in the secret document “Sheldon the Viking” that the question was raised of analogy between Eve and Gyda and between Jesus and Snefrid, in the Harald Hårfagre Saga in Snorre. And of course whether Harald Hårfagre wondered about moral questions as to killing all those other Vikings in battle etc. She connected this also to the vexed question of whether Mohammedans ask why.
She mentioned all this to Wolfgang, and he said he coincidentally was just then wondering about life among the Mongol Hordes after they were at last repulsed and retreated back to Mongolia.
Coffee nodded and smiled in admiration of the Egyptian army of homosexuals who had stopped Genghis Khan (or was it some other Khan?)(Wolfgang didn´t remember, either).
But, she suggested that if Gyda was blamed or given credit as initiator, then what is the role of “Virgin” Mary regarding Jesus? If Eve does wrong, is Mary making up for that? So, is Jesus bringing everyone back to Eden? or is Heaven a neo-Eden? And how does “Eternal Life” in Heaven relate to the Tree of Life problem in Eden?--- in Genesis Jehovah says “...lest they gain the secret of eternal life”.
Wolfgang praised her by a praising gaze into her heavenly eyes.
180801 23:35 Wolfgang reminded Coffee that in Persian, Paradise means the green place, and said “Maybe in future people will say green when they mean make this planet nice”.
